Family owned, farm raised. 15 years ago my family was looking for a dog for companionship on our farm. A beautiful blue dane puppy, Lilly, was carefully chosen and stole our hearts. This started the long dane journey for our family. The kids have grown up and we have more grey hairs but the great danes remain. Danes by the Bay is the product of a family’s love of the breed. We are a small breeding business that is dedicated to the responsible breeding of our high-quality pets. Wayland is our momma who lives on our farm and enjoys her time playing with the cows and ponies. When not out playing she is guaranteed to be found on the couch snuggling if someone is available. She is smart, loving and athletic. The sire is, Cyrus, and he is our “city” dog who lives with our grown son and his girlfriend. The two are months apart and the best of buddies. Cyrus comes over regularly to run and frolic. Cyrus is a kind, gentle boy with willingness to please and of course snuggle. The perfectly represent this dog can be a city dog or country dog! After all these years the danes still bring the family together. We love and appreciate the breed so much we wanted to have the experience of raising puppies and bringing that joy to other families. Our puppies are part of the family for life, but for the short time we care for them, they will be socialized and age appropriately trained. Don’t be surprised if you see an updated pic of your puppy playing with our lamb, min pig or mini goat. The puppies are kept in the house and will be used to the hustle and bustle of home life and of course attention. The other great benefit to our family is that my husband is a retired veterinarian of 40 years. The puppies will essentially be receiving qualified medical attention around the clock!
